3 Questions For 2010 Success!

Here we are starting a new year and I was just getting used to the old one. Each year between Christmas and New Years is the perfect time for each of us to evaluate our network marketing business from the past year. Part of that process requires us ask just three simple questions:
What am I doing that I should do more?
Take the year apart here. What part of your multi level marketing income was produced by each of your profit-centers? In other words, what kinds of activities were the most productive for you? Which were the most profitable financially? Identify those activities at which you perform the best and contributed most to your income. How do you build your home business plan for 2010 to incorporate more of those activities that paid off the best for you? How can you do more of the things you’re really good at?
What am I doing that I should stop doing, or delegate?
Look back at how you spent each day. Identify home business time-wasters. If you can just eliminate time-wasters, your network marketing business improves almost by default. Any bad habits crept into your daily work activities that you should stop altogether? Would a little organization or a little planning give you more time to do those things that actually generate income for you? This is a good time to evaluate your hourly value! Divide your take-home income this past year by the approximate 2082 hours you spent at work. Now; how many minutes each day do you spend doing things that can’t, or don’t generate income for your network marketing business? Is there a more efficient method of completing some of your activities, can you eliminate any? Is there someone else that could do the job just as well for you? Could their assistance make you and the company more time efficient and income producing! Could you be developing leads, making follow-up phone calls, prospects, referrals? Your time is valuable, treat it that way!
What should I start doing that I am not now doing?
Is there a new income producing activity that you should master and put in your sales repertoire; new skills you need to be developing? Look at the most successful people you know in your local network marketing businesses. How do they do it? For the price of a lunch most of them would be happy to tell you. If you want different results, you’ll have to do things differently. At some point in the managing your network marketing or MLM business, you simply can’t improve by just working harder! In every home based business process, sales, etc., production is measured in minutes. There are only 1,440 minutes in a day. You have to sleep, you have to eat, and a couple of other things that are must do’s, but beyond that, everyone has the same number of minutes available. The difference between the top MLM producers and everyone else is how they use their minutes. Your time is valuable, treat it that way!
Do you have a plan for next year, or will you just wait and see what happens……..again?
“If you fail to plan, you are planning to fail!
Looking forward to a Great 2010!
Just a Few Short Hours a Week and You’ll Be Rich

You’ve heard me quote many times the failure rate of small businesses and in particular home based businesses and Network Marketing. Why does that happen? Well after you get past all the bad ‘recruiting’ techniques and poor leadership, the prime cause is just lack of interest from poor success and unreal goals!
You’ve heard the schpeel. “Just a few hours per week and you’ll be rich!” Well, buy the time you add up the meetings, product demonstrations, training, social events and phone calls from your upline leaders your ‘few hours’ per week becomes an incredible amount of time and work.Tired and frustrated many newbies to the industry give up on their dreams in about 90 days.
Doesn’t have to be that way at all! This is YOUR business. Of course, you need to spend a disproportionate amount of time in the beginning because you have so much to learn. That’s 90 days right there! But then you have to claim your life and your business and adjust accordingly. You’ve made a decision to start a business and you intend to make it work. What good is having your dream if when you get there, there’s no one to share it with?
The Secret: Time Management, family management, spouse/significant other management (you thought it was going to be something really hard didn’t you?).
You buy a new Day Timer every January and make a promise to schedule everything! Just like all those people who make New Year’s resolutions to go to the gym, lose some weight, quit smoking, spend more time with their families, etc..
Network Marketing is just like anything else in life…a little bit at a time wins the race. A couple of contacts or phone calls per day. One meeting per week. A time limit on working in your new ‘home office.’ You have all the skills you need, all you need do is just create a plan of putting those skills to work for you in a productive fashion. Network Marketing is NOT a horse race, it’s a means to an end. Remember the tortoise and the hare? Success doesn’t come in giant leaps. Small orchestrated accomplishments. If one of those people at the gym set a goal of losing just one pound per week they would have lost 52 lbs. in a year. Probably twice as much as they had originally planned, AND it was probably fun! A goal like that is much easier to see results on a regular basis. Just like your business. You need little “wins” every week, every month…pretty soon you’ve gotten a year’s worth of successes and WOW… you’re making money. Your dream is getting closer all the time. Don’t let those 7day a week, emailing and texting Network Marketing cheerleaders spoil your business plan and your life. They’re the ones standing in front of the microwave yelling, ‘hurry up, hurry up! Schedule time to recharge your batteries. You’re much more productive and a nicer person to be around.
OK now, let’s repeat the plan… Start your business, work really hard for about three months. Then, sit down with those who are close to you and put together a ‘working business plan’ and work it with laser beam intensity. Don’t let anyone knock you off your path. You have made a decision to be a winner, a “5%’er”. Now do it.
NO MATTER WHAT YOUR LIFE SEEMS LIKE TODAY,
You Are About To Be A Success Tomorrow!
Why,Why – Are You Sure?

If you’re involved in a home based business, MLM or network marketing opportunity you’ve heard again and again that there must be a “WHY” in your life in order for your business to succeed. When your business is struggling, having a personal or financial “vision” sure makes those “lots of work, but no income” days seem easier to accept.
If the WHY is so important, then why don’t your leaders spend more time helping you understand? Maybe I can help.
Understand that your position in life right now… is the result of the decisions you’ve made in the past! Ouch! Ya, that one hurt. Life isn’t just a series of unrelated decisions that somehow will get us to where we hope to be simply by some force of luck or astrology.
But just maybe, those decisions have been a helpful resource to achieving your new goals! Each of us has great potential within us, but greatness is a choice. It’s not our destiny. In the pursuit of our dreams we are faced with trials, failures and disappointments as we travel down life’s path.
John Lennon wrote, “Life is what happens to you while you’re busy making other plans.”
Every event in our lives has been the result of a decision. Review and ask yourself, “How have those decisions impacted where I am today?” “How have the results of those decisions changed my life, finances, relationships, job…?” “Do you see a trend, a sequence of events as a result of those decisions?” “Positive, negative?”
If you’re not where you’d hoped to be at this time in your life, then now is a great time to evaluate your journey, AND your WHY. If your life’s journey; based upon the decisions you’ve been making in the past,… and the decisions you are making for your future… have nothing in common with your WHY….then your WHY is worthless!
Your personal and professional decision making must have a laser beam focus on your WHY!
Make a decision not to do those things that don’t move you closer to your WHY. Stop fooling yourself that you’re doing your best. What have you done today in support of your WHY? Are you still making the same decisions with hopes of different results?
Some good news? The decisions that placed you in your current position… have also prepared you to visualize your dream!
“If your mind can conceive it, you can achieve it” Napoleon Hill.
Speaker and author Les Brown says it well, “In order to do something you’ve never done, you’ve got to become someone you’ve never been.”
Personally. Professionally. Spiritually.
Why Not?

So What? The “so what” is that we are one of the statistics out there in the “trying to change our lives” world that are working more than one job, convinced that 5 hrs of sleep is enough, don’t eat breakfast (that health bar that’s mostly carbs and sugar and a cup of coffee on the run is NOT breakfast), nod off during our children’s school programs, and can’t remember a conversation with our spouse that didn’t include THE business. Sound familiar? We’re all guilty, and we KNOW that this live style isn’t healthy and actually hinders our performance.
I’m not a health guru by any means but I have been fortunate enough to have been mentored by a “healthy, productive, happy entrepreneur.” Priceless!
Let’s just start our conversation with the understanding that we could all lose some weight, reduce our cholesterol and do some serious work on our blood pressure. “Get in better shape.” That’s not a goal…..it’s a Wish, a Dream, a snowball’s chance in Hell that it will happen statement! Come on! Your life and happiness really do depend upon you setting priorities. One of them MUST BE your health.
Remember those business goals? Do the same thing for your health. KISS. Keep it simple stupid. Setting lofty goals that you will never achieve are demoralizing. “I will work out for 20 three times this week”. KISS, right? Staying healthy and getting fit is more important to your success than watching a product video or attending three home parties in one week. Get a jump rope (your low budget treadmill), a weight bench, a bar, approx 150lbs of weights, dumb bells, (every garage sale has them). Clean out one side of the garage and you have a 24hr gym. Now get started. It’s simple, It Works.
This is a LIFE’S plan. So PLAN for exercise. PLAN for better food choices. PLAN to be “happy”
Keep it Simple…………….Keep it for LIFE
